Dr. Theodore H. Sober

Dr. Ted graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1968, and has been in private practice in Essex since 1972.

With an emphasis on Behavioral Optometry and the way that vision affects school performance and learning, Dr. Ted examines many children--as young as infants.  Accepting patients of all ages, Dr. Ted is always willing to spend time to chat and hear what is important to his patients. With a love for new learning, he always attends every continuing education lecture offered to him and thrives on challenges.
He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Maryland Optometric Association, and the College of Optometrists in Visual Development.  He holds full therapeutic licensure in Maryland.
 

Dr. Jason K. Sober

Dr. Jason is a 1997 graduate of Pennsylvania College of Optometry, graduating in the top 15% of his class.

He holds two bachelors degrees (Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Bachelor of Science in Visual Sciences) as well as a Doctor of Optometry, and has been in private and commercial practice since 1997. Emphasizing contact lenses as well as medical eye conditions, Dr. Jason welcomes patients as young as five and as old as 105.
He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Maryland Optometric Association, Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity, and holds full therapeutic licensure in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

Sandie Hughes

Office Manager and Optician

Sandie has an amazing eye for finding just the right glasses for each patient.

She has been with us for almost 10 years and she is a valuable asset to our office. Sandie handles all aspects of frame and lens ordering and selection, so count on her to know what will work for you.

Joe Hughes

Office Coordinator/Scheduler

Joe has an extensive background in customer service and understands that the patient always comes first.

His friendly and professional demeanor help make your visit expeditious and enjoyable.
 

Betty Weller

Billing Specialist/Optician

Betty brings over 20 years of experience working in the Optometric Field and keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes for us.

It is her job to interface with insurance companies and decipher the most complicated plans for our patients. If you have any questions concerning your insurance please don't hesitate to call.
